The Accounts Payable & Payroll Associate is responsible for the accurate recording and processing of vendor payments and payroll. The candidate will work directly with Finance and Human Resources to provide accurate and timely payments to vendors and employees.
What You’ll Do 

Accounts Payable
  • Process, code and pay all invoices according to vendor terms
  • Follow the accruals process to accurately state our financial position
  • Collaborate across departments to manage vendor relationships
  • Assist with month end procedures including credit card and bank reconciliations
  • Process credit applications - ability to establish and maintain key vendor relationships
  • Review employee expense reports for compliance with policy and accounting classification
  • Knowledgeable in the following areas of payroll: payroll processing, payroll adjustments, multi-state taxes and reciprocity, garnishments, employee payroll maintenance, gross to net calculations, non-taxable benefits, taxable fringe benefits, year-end balancing, processing W-2’s and W-2c’s and other payroll related tasks
  • Balance timesheet records and manual payroll transactions to payroll system reports, research and resolve issues prior to processing payroll
  • Prepare and process bi-monthly payroll using Gusto and TSheets
  • Maintain payroll metrics to accurately report outliers 
  • Work across internal departments to resolve any payroll related issues
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and support to the finance and Human Resources department 

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous medium or large-company and full-cycle accounts payable experience preferred
  • Ability to research payroll related questions/concerns and professionally respond to employees, state agencies and all areas within the company
  • Working knowledge of Gusto and TSheets or similar payroll systems in a multi-state environment
  • Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processing, Federal and State wage laws
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience processing payroll, multi-state taxes, garnishments and year-end processing
