We’re looking for a seasoned operator to join us as a Studios Expansion Launcher who will be responsible for identifying and launching our retail stores. You’ll project-manage construction and build out activities in partnership with our in-house design team. Additionally, you will help with site selection, broker and landlord communications, lease negotiation, and design for these locations.
You’ll partner cross-functionally throughout the organization — across design, marketing, recruiting, legal and more — and with key outside stakeholders. The role is based in New York City but you’ll hit the road frequently. We’re opening our doors on both coasts and everywhere in between in some of the most exciting neighborhoods in the country!
What You'll Do
  • Help identify locations and negotiate leases for new stores
  • Manage all relationships with key stakeholders pre and post lease signing as the central contact for our brokers, consultants, lawyers, architects, landlords, and construction contractors. Ensure external parties’ work moves in step with Candid’s internal teams and that any roadblocks are resolved swiftly
  • Project manage construction and build-out activities in partnership with our in-house design team
  • Collaborate with the studios and recruiting teams to staff and train the studio appropriately
  • Liaise with Marketing to kick us off in new markets. Orchestrate promotional, advertising, and PR activities to ensure we maximize chair occupancy as soon as possible post launch
  • Lead procurement and launch-related operations for each studio
What You'll Need
  • 2+ years of experience working in operations. Experience launching new markets ideal.
  • You’re a lights-out operator and a process-first leader. You’re able to create structure where there is none existing. 
  • Track record of managing complex projects (e.g. lease signing through store opening and handoff to local management.) Overcoming obstacles is second nature to you
  • Crisp verbal and written communicator. Impeccably organized, with an uncanny attention to detail
  • Ruthless prioritizer, with ability to adjust priorities on the fly as business needs evolve
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, undaunted by the long hours and hard work expansion demands
