The Role
The Delivery Manager's role at Zopa consists of four key elements which play a significant part in successfully delivering change in a fast paced environment.
Agile & Scrum practices - Facilitating scrum ceremonies and agile best practice, recognising varying levels of maturity and striving for self-organisation.
Day to Day Delivery support - Surfacing blockers & external distractions and taking the lead in facilitating resolutions where possible and escalating where not.
Planning & reporting - Assisting the team in project planning, the product manager in strategic planning and providing visibility of progress against plans to all key stakeholders.
Continuous improvement - Pro-actively looking for opportunities for improvement of the delivery process, whether they be internal to the team or in the wider organisation

Key responsobilities

    • Run at least 1 major project from an execution and delivery perspective. Most likely 2 (or more if they are small projects)
    • Ensure that before a project kicks off, the appropriate due diligence and planning has been done to enable the success of the project
    • Establish and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders and keep them updated on progress/changes.
    • Run the agile cycle with all appropriate ceremonies (including retros) and resolve/ escalate any blockers.
    • Act on output from retrospectives and pursue continuous improvement.
    • Ensure that delivery of major projects proceeds smoothly (staged delivery, material feature reviews, QA process) and the team momentum is high
    • Ensure the team is protected from external influences which could impact delivery.
    • Facilitate quarterly planning cycles ensuring delivery expectations are aligned to company and tribe OKRs.

About your experience

    • Good experience as a scrum master or delivery manager in a technology based environment.
    • Intimate knowledge of key agile principles.
    • Experience of implementing scrum and achieving self-organisation within teams.
    • Strong facilitator, clear, persuasive, and effective communication.
    • Driven and pro-active with the ability to work under pressure.
    • Certified scrum master (CSM) – preferable.
