We’re recruiting for a smart and ambitious person, to join our HR team at Zopa. Ideally, you’ll be a graduate with an analytical brain and a passion for the HR “people stuff!”.  
Zopa is growing from strength to strength as we scale up our peer-to-peer platform and build new financial products as part of the Zopa Bank launch. You help manage our ever-growing team of Zopians by providing strategic data, reporting and analytics to support to our busy HR team. There is tons of opportunity to grow and develop into this role but also to gain experience in other aspects of HR over time.

What do we need from this person?

    • Become a systems expert and systems project lead. Build relationships with our systems providers, and our Technology team
    • Coordinate the use of project management as a tool within the HR team, using project management systems, ensuring project plans are fit for purpose, up to date, tracked and reported
    • Identify and make recommendations for and produce MI and reports for use by stakeholders and within the HR team
    • Work with colleagues to ensure the risks are identified and controls in place. Identify effectiveness and efficiency opportunities to enhance the Zopian experience and improve our HR operations.
    • Complete all ad-hoc sickness, maternity, paternity and other absence reporting
    • Be the custodian of HR data, ensuring that it is accurate, secure and recorded properly.


    • Provide HR systems expertise and take a holistic approach to systems set up and maintenance.
    •  Act as HR systems SME, supporting the team with queries, training and documentation.


    • Assist with the design and development of the year-end appraisal and compensation spreadsheets and associated reporting and analytics; making recommendations for the most effective use of data
    • Support the share options administration, and grant process ensuring we have rigorous process to record and track movements in the cap table
    • Make recommendations for compensation analytics as appropriate
    • Support the HR Director with creation of REMCO papers and minutes
    • Conduct payroll assurance checks and act as backup for payroll manager


    • Assist in the bi-annual performance review processes including data verification, managing system changes,
    • Reporting, calibration analysis
    • Assist in configuration of the LMS.  Provide training reporting and feedback reporting of all training.
    • Support the design and delivery of our engagement survey. Provide expertise on data configuration, reporting and analytics 


      •  Assist in the design and development of recruitment reporting including headcount planning and analysis,
      • tracking against our HR budget as well as Board reporting
      •  Assist  with tools such as the recruitment tracker


    • Regulation – assist the team with the setup, maintenance and tracking our obligations under the Senior Manager Certification Regime (SMCR) and other relevant regulatory and legal obligations
    • Gender pay gap – play a key role in preparations for gender pay gap reporting and analysis
    • Assist the Head of HR in the design of diversity and inclusion reporting and analytics across the HR processes
    • and cycles (year-end, recruitment, graduate recruitment etc.)
    •  Make recommendations for automation predictive analytics, data modelling, forecasting, and the like, to optimize the people function and Zopian experience
    • Partner with Technology to continue to review the market for appropriate HRIS solutions and lead any new initiatives or implementation


      • Degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
      • Advanced proficiency with excel
