Role

We’re looking for a Director of Brand Marketing to help bring our brand to life. As a founding member of the brand marketing team, you will be responsible for setting the direction of Candid’s brand positioning and messaging as well as managing content strategy, social engagement, public relations, and community management. You will partner with various teams across the organization including marketing, design, product and customer experience. You will report directly to our VP of Marketing in our NYC office.

What You’ll Do 

  • Leverage customer research to refine messaging, positioning, and unique value propositions
  • Own the execution of brand marketing campaigns from creative all the way through performance to increase brand awareness in both existing and new markets
  • Identify clear audience strategies to evolve and grow our customer base
  • Create programs that drive customer growth, loyalty and increase brand trust
  • Drive brand understanding and support organization-wide and champion initiatives that support delivery of the brand promise
  • Manage the relationship and results for national PR agency as as well as local contractors
  • On an interim basis, oversee Corporate Social Responsibility programs including our partnership with Smile Train
  • Direct the social media team and manage our presence both proactively and reactively across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and other channels
  • Help direct influencer marketing
  • Own all metrics related to reputation management across all channels

What You’ll Need 

  • 5+ years of marketing experience in either product or brand marketing; experience in consumer-facing companies a plus!
  • Experience building teams and successfully managing direct reports
  • Experience managing third party vendors including PR and advertising agencies
  • Phenomenal project management and structure creation abilities with tried and true philosophies on how to juggle, organize, and execute on ten projects simultaneously
  • Passion for brand building and experience with content creation (video and text)
  • Demonstrated track record of driving results in community management across social media and review platforms (Yelp, Google, Instagram, Facebook, etc)
