Candid™ is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to bring the supply chain for our at-home impression starter kits, studio retail store supplies, and clear aligner packaging to the next level. As our first dedicated Supply Chain hire you’ll own our inventory management from planning through ordering and shipment tracking. In this capacity you’ll be on point to manage our relationships with manufacturers, fulfilment partners, and shipping carriers. You’ll also lead the company’s efforts to drive step-function cost reductions via contract negotiation and other cost savings projects. This position will report directly to our Chief Operating Officer in our NYC HQ.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Marketing to keep a tight pulse on the business, and with the Finance and Business Insights teams to develop an actionable forecast.Systematically communicate forecast to third parties to understand supply capacities and limitations
  • Own Candid’s inventory strategy to ensure adequate inventory levels based on changing forecasts and growth projections, all while keeping costs in check
  • Buy or build the systems we need to forecast, place, and manage supply orders
  • Negotiate savings to hit budgeted goals
  • Support an aggressive Studio Retail launch plan with needed procurement, partnering regularly with the Studios team and construction / opening suppliers on requirements
  • Collaborate with our Design team to project-manage the launch of packaging changes, and liaise with our Expansion team as we launch dozens of new studio locations nationwide this year
  • Manage expectations across internal and external parties on cost and time requirements
  • Own the relationships with carriers, inventory suppliers, packaging manufacturers, and the fulfillment team
  • Own all KPIs related to meeting shipping, fulfillment, and inventory receipt SLA’s
  • Strike a balance between swift and cost-effective shipping, and negotiate the best shipping rates as we grow in volume

What You’ll Need:

  • 6-10 years of experience working in supply chain fast-growth, analytically demanding environments. Startup experience a plus
  • Proven ability to cut costs in an unstructured, non-hierarchical, hyper-growth environment
  • Track record of tackling diverse problem sets and moving the needle significantly and sustainably on key business metrics
  • Relentlessly data- and process driven mindset. Razor-sharp analytical skills and uncanny attention to detail
