We are a New York City-based Platform as a Service (PaaS) firm specializing in scalable continuous identity verification solutions through machine learning and biometrics. We work with institutions and corporations in a variety of industries and verticals who are looking for automated solutions for verifying the identity and behavior of end users. Our main product, a Testing Platform is the world's first automated and scalable monitoring platform for online exams. Having graduated from TechStars and secured investment from some of the most well known names in venture capital we are looking to expand our team.





Job Overview:



We are currently searching for a full-stack Python/Django developer ready to bring their skills to a driven startup team.





Job Responsibilities:



Plan, architect, integrate, and develop back-end and database driven features using the Python language and frameworks (Django, Flask, Tornado).



Create decoupled, interactive web UIs using JavaScript (Angular, Ember, jQuery)



Aid in the development and ongoing maintenance of our DevOps platform (Ansible)



Provide technical advise and recommendations for language and software choices.



Develop code that is cross-browser and cross-platform friendly



Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met



Evaluate technologies and manage technical planning



Support and ongoing development for existing projects



Provide clean code and proper documentation for each project



Fix bugs and resolve ongoing issues



Strong writing and speaking skills (English)





Technical Requirements:



At least 5+ years experience developing and deploying web sites and applications



Experienced with Django



Experience with Agile/SCRUM practices



Experience setting up and managing servers.



Experience hand-coding HTML and CSS



Experience with MV* JavaScript development (Backbone.js, Angular a big bonus)



Some experience with DevOps practices and platforms



e-commerce integration and custom development



Custom web based application development experience (startup experience is a bonus)



Comfortable collaborating with designers, front-end developers and other team members



Object-oriented design and development strategies



Web services/API experiences is a bonus





This is a full-time paid position commensurate with experience including salary and benefits. Candidates will need to be available to work on site in our office in the Flatiron area of New York.
