QA Engineer at Zopa

We are looking for QA Engineers to ensure quality is at the at the forefront of everything we do here at Zopa. Your job will range from helping stakeholders and product owners with story specifications to enhancing our automated Cucumber test suite. Exploratory testing will be a key part of the role, as you utilise your creativity to understand every aspect of our system and discover innovative ways to improve resilience.
Ensuring that every release in a CI-driven environment meets our quality standards will be your greatest challenge. We aim to be agile in every aspect of the software delivery process.
How We Work
Our platform is a mixture of C# and Python with a Ruby front-end. We deploy via CI (Jenkins) and a completely automated test suite.
Daily interaction with stakeholders and key business users is way of life here. You will have a regular dialogue with developers, product owners, analysts and data scientists within and outside the team, and interact with them on a daily basis. We are big believers in a lean philosophy and flexibility in implementation, while we’re also aiming to achieve stack consistency and alignment across the board.


About You
We're looking for QA engineers that understand that quality assurance is key in every step of the software delivery process, from specification to delivery.
You must be able to communicate clearly and diplomatically with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to ensure quality is at the forefront of everything we do.
You must be a strong proponent of test driven and behavior-driven development. We are a financial institution and a strong commitment to quality is essential.
You have a natural curiosity to understand and dissect existing systems and business processes. You want to know why things are done in a particular way.
Experience with Selenium and Cucumber/Gherkin will be highly regarded.
You must be happy to talk to key stakeholders on a daily basis and be able to understand and be interested in the business objectives of the company.
