Channel Marketing Manager at August

We are seeking a driven, energetic, and team-oriented individual to join the Sales and Marketing team as a Channel Marketing Manager in our San Francisco office. This role will take ownership of retail merchandising, training and marketing programs to cost effectively drive sell-through (sales to end consumers) at our major retail partners which include Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowes, Target and Walmart. The person in this role must have a strong consumer retail marketing background and thorough understanding of retail channels. Experience in smart home products and/or consumer electronics a strong plus KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide merchandising, promotions and training programs to drive sell-through of August products to end consumers
Support sales in creating win-win relationships with key retail partners
Work closely with channel partners to create messaging and co-branded collateral and execute programs that build August brand awareness and purchase intent
Partner with sales to profitably expand August Home’s retail footprint
Create and execute August product training programs for retailer in-store personne
Deliver insightful analysis on retail performance to drive mutually profitable assortment changes/expansions
Drive communications and collateral to fit brand positioning, look and feel
Analyze marketing programs to calculate August return on investment (ROI)
Manage trade show presence at consumer, trade and professional channel events
Drive allocation of channel marketing funds to deliver the best ROI and deliver growth
Help retail partners put in place KPIs to measure marketing activity effectiveness
HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor's degree is required (business or marketing major preferred)
5 years of work experience (3 years of retail channel marketing)
Demonstrated success in leading results-oriented joint marketing programs and initiatives
Deep understanding of and passion for smart home products and technologies
Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver a compelling actionable narrative
Attention to detail
Experience with etail/online merchandising
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Presentation creation and delivery skills for internal and key account facing audiences
Team player with ability to work cross-functionally
Self-directed problem-solver
Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks
