We are seeking a seasoned, high-functioning superstar to join the Institutional Partnerships team as an individual contributor. As a member of the team, you will source, structure, and close new business opportunities and drive partnerships across the spectrum of Higher Education Institutions within the Northeast region. The ideal candidate will be able to work up and down the chain of higher education administration and most importantly with faculty members.

You will work closely with Knewton senior management as well as content, data science, design, and technology teams in order to identify, pitch, and close strategic partnerships with these institutions. We are looking for a highly detail-oriented, motivated sales professional with serious entrepreneurial drive and extraordinary flexibility to meet the demands of a high-energy start-up.
This is a great opportunity to:
Work cross-functionally within Knewton to drive institutional partnership strategy and execution.
Manage research, outreach, and relations with major educational organizations across the spectrum of higher education within the Northeast region.
Work directly with the Regional GM set strategic priorities and identify opportunities for growth
Understand complex business issues and technical challenges and collaborate with teams to capture requirements for institutional implementations
Collaborate with Knewton product and tech teams to articulate customer needs and business priorities, as well as articulate rationale behind decisions
What we are looking for:
Experienced Higher Education sales rep that understands the business of doing business in the space and has experience within the region (experience in the math/sciences area a plus).
Deep understanding of the buying and procuring processes of individual faculty, committees and administrators
A knack for developing strong relationships amongst various stakeholders at an institution (from faculty to administrators)
Strong presence/presentation skills
Passion for the promise of adaptive, personalized education technology
Understands and is willing to work with faculty members in order to get them to adopt Knewton powered solutions
Requirements
3-7 years successful sales track record with scalable enterprise technology partnerships and/or deep education publishing experience
Experience working up and down the chain in higher education.
Ability to work faculty and committee level adoptions, with the ability to also meet with Higher Education Administrators.
BS/BA or equivalent (advanced degree a plus)
Experience in, and a passion for, using technology in education
Ability to structure, negotiate, contract review, and close complex enterprise deals
Ability to construct and present concise cost/benefit analysis
Strong analytical capability and understanding of key financial and business metrics
Strong at public-speaking and building relationships with clients
Great Presenter
Gracious team player capable of navigating the organization with skill and charm
Entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to balance persistence with grace
Experience working in education and/or an education technology company
Ability to present complex technical capabilities in a simple manner
Ability to engage in broad ideation sessions with prospects, while also being able to get meaningful deals done in the shorter term
