We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our team as we continue to develop our radically new camera technology. You will lead the design and execution of test cases in support of the validation and verification of firmware and device software.
Only engineers with testing experience with embedded systems on consumer electronics will be considered. We prefer mobile device and camera experience too!

what you will do...

    • bring your Software Quality Engineering and Test Automation expertise to work on our revolutionary camera technology and cutting edge consumer device projects 
    • influence, design, and implement processes and tools at a fast-paced start-up
    • very hands on work - writing automation test scripts and debugging and analyzing logs
    • design and build test automation for firmware and platform level tests
    • implement and execute SDK and API-level tests
    • provide strategy, guidance, and direction for offshore team
    • design and execute test cases for hardware devices
    • collaborate with the firmware and platform Engineering teams to isolate and resolve open issues
    • generate project summary and status reports
    • contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of our products

what you bring to Light...

      • 5+ years of experience at a hardware company writing test scripts for hardware test automation - required
      • experience testing firmware and embedded software on camera and mobile devices - required
      • strong Python coding and shell scripting experience - required
      • testing experience on Android operating system - required
      • API-level test experience - required
      • experience with CI/CD and Jenkins environments - required
      • working knowledge of Appium, UI Automator, and/or Robot Framework - required
      • strong leadership skills - required
      • experience managing and collaborating with overseas teams - required
      • strong knowledge of bug reporting, code tracking, and source control tools such as JIRA, Gerrit, and Git - required
      • a completed BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or related Engineering field - required
    • Java programming experience - preferred
    • SDK testing experience - preferred
    • Git, Jira, and Agile working experience - preferred
    • a passion for camera technology and photography - preferred
