The Image Quality Engineering group is responsible for all optics, sensor, ISP tuning, and testing.
 
As an Image Processing Engineer (part-time contractor), you will get to apply the full range of your expertise as we build a new kind of computational camera technology.  We are looking for innovative technologists who enjoy collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.  This is your opportunity to become a recognized expert in this state-of-the-art technology. Your contribution to the growth of the company will be immediately visible and appropriately rewarded.
 
This is a 6-12 month contractor role with the possibility of converting to full-time in the future.

what you will do...

    • Design and implement image signal processing (ISP) algorithms to improve camera quality such as 3A, demosaic, chromatic aberration correction, denoising, sharpening, tone mapping etc.
    • Contribute to Light's computational imaging ISP to enhance and add features for next-generation products.
    • Characterize and optimize ISP for different configuration of products.

what you bring to Light...

    • Expertise in image and video processing, and computational photography algorithm development
    • Thorough understanding of camera ISP
    • Strong understanding of Image Quality concepts
    • Demonstrated fluency in C/C++ and software engineering skills
    • MS with extensive industry experience or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
    • Strong understanding of Photography
